Regency period silver bottle holder.
Very rare and contemporary piece of silver. Hallmarked at London Assay Office in 1813.
The interior gilt lining is virtually worn away. This piece has had a lot of use and has signs of wear and tear, with nicks and small dents but it is fully intact.
The hallmark is rubbed but just readable. This piece doesn’t have a sponsors mark which wasn’t unusual for the period.
The banding around the piece gives the item a modern contemporary style which totally defies its age.
