Description
Photograph of Freddie Mercury miming Jimi Hendrix on a T-square at Ealing College, 1969
Photograph by Paul Humberstone.
Paul Humberstone met Freddie Mercury (or Bulsara as he was then known) at Ealing College in the late 1960s, the two became good friends.
Paul was studying photography as part of his course and recognised what a great subject his friend Freddie would make.
We thank Paul for allowing us to share his unique collection. It shows this important phase of Freddie’s life, just as he began to consider a career in music in a serious way.
